I reinterpreted William Home Lizars’ classic engraving of Jane Austen through the architecture of contemporary lettering. Austen’s book titles and celebrated quotes are woven into the textures of her clothing and hair, bringing the literary giant to life through the very words that defined her legacy. The result is a fusion of classic iconography and the very literature that defined an era—literally Jane Austin in her own words.
