Inspired by hearing dogs I know, this lino cut captures the eager, upward gaze of this attentive dog in a boldly graphic close-up composition. Radiating marks surround the face, lending the work energy and immediacy. I printed it on Japanese Ho Sho paper using Caligo Safe Wash ink, number one from a limited edition of six original hand-printed works.
