In this print, I wanted the vibrant, flowing bands of blue and green to suggest a landscape in motion, reflecting the energy and grace of swifts in flight. A single swift soars above the group while three companions cut through the air below, the undulating lines of sky and rolling countryside conveying both speed and freedom. Hand-carved and printed using traditional lino cut techniques, each piece is produced on Japanese Ho Sho paper with Caligo Safe Wash inks. This is a variation edition, as the inks are blended directly onto the lino, resulting in slight colour variations in each print.
