Inspired by the timeless fable in which persistence and ingenuity triumph over speed and complacency, I wanted to capture the hare and tortoise in a single, interconnected composition. The style reflects my interest in mid-century European book illustration and folk art. As a reduction print, each colour is carved and printed from a single block in sequence, a process that makes every impression in the edition of five unique and unrepeatable.
